As the head of a union representing more than 176,000 members, from nine Canadian provinces, Linda Silas, President of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU), stated that her members have the same problems as the healthcare professionals at the FIQ.

H.E.L.P.: Hope through action

Dr. Michel Henry Brutus presented the organization that he founded in 1986, the ONG Health Education Learning Resources Projects (H.E.L.P.) to the delegation. The funds collected from the unions and the members of the FIQ to assist the Haitian people was given to H.E.L.P. whose main mission is to develop and install projects that can improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable groups in the rural communities of Haiti.
