Bill 130: the Liberal government refuses to hear the FIQ’s point of view

Despite that this bill will have direct impacts on all the healthcare professionals, the Liberal government has refused to hear the point of view of the FIQ during the specific consultations. Just the same, the FIQ sent an opinion to the secretariat of the Commission de la santé et des services sociaux summarizing their position on Bill 130.

Montréal neighbourhood clinic will be located in Montréal-Nord on Lapierre Street

To mark and announce the upcoming opening of the Montréal-Nord neighbourhood clinic, the partners in this project held a day clinic on February 3. The people in the neighbourhood were able to come to the clinic and meet with a health professional for a glucose test, to have their blood pressure taken, to obtain advice, a consultation or referral services.

Breakdown in anaesthesia services: the administration knew

The Syndicat des professionnelles en soins de la Gaspésie (FIQ) strongly objected to the breakdown in the anaesthesia services for the entire Haute-Gaspésie sector which happened from February 10 to 17 and stated that the administration was aware of the situation since October 2016.
