Negotiating Committee

CISSS de l'Outaouais ( FIQ – Syndicat des professionnelles en soins de l’Outaouais )

Dear colleagues,
I am excited to apply for a position on the Negotiating Committee.

I have been a nurse since 1989 at the CISSS de l’Outaouais. I worked in perinatal nursing for 23 years, in Switzerland for 1 year, and for 6 years now, I have been working for the Québec Breast Cancer Screening Program.

I started my union career in 1999 and now sit on the SPSO Executive Committee as the OHS Officer.

Provincially, I participated in the 1999 raiding period, and, recently I sat on the ad hoc group insurance committee.

The people around me know me for my determination in defending my projects, active listening and team work. I will focus my leadership and strong work ethic on advancing our negotiations.

I would like to put my energy into improving: healthcare professionals’ daily lives, the staff shortage, mandatory overtime, excessive workloads, work-family balance, psychological harassment in the workplace, etc.

I am eager to join the team to fight for your priorities and issues in the next negotiations.
