Negotiation Council (respiratory therapist)

CHUM (Syndicat des Professionnelles et Professionnels en soins de santé du Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (FIQ ))

Hello, I have been a respiratory therapist since 1991. I worked for a short time at the Hôpital Ste-Anne de Bellevue (veterans), and at Le Gardeur and Pierre-Boucher hospitals. But the majority of my 27-year career so far has been spent at the CHUM (St-Luc).

I have always followed the development of my profession and defended our interests, even well before getting involved at the FIQ. Writing letters to the Health Minister, Ms. Laurent, the president of the Office des professions du Québec, the president of the OPIQ, as well as petitions and demands, naturally led me to the union. I come from a unionist family and believe strongly in justice, equity, defending our rights and the need for representation.

I consider myself to be a good ambassador of our profession, and my engagement and determination will be an asset to the Negotiation Council.
