Elections at the March 17, 18 and 19, 2020 Provincial Council
Election Notice
In accordance with the RFIQ, FIQ and FIQP Constitution and Bylaws, elections will be held at the Provincial Council on March 17, 18 and 19, 2020.
The Election Committee is responsible for the election process and vote.
On this page, you will find the different positions up for election for each union structure, as well as the steps to follow to apply.
The RFIQ Provincial and Federal Councils find replacement when there is a vacant position on the RFIQ provincial committees or FIQ and FIQP statutory committees in accordance with the conditions in the Elections chapter.
However, only official Provincial Council delegates are eligible for the vacant position.
Candidacies mailed or sent by email must be received by March 12, 2019 at 5 p.m., or given to the president of the Election Committee before the March Provincial Council officially starts. The start time for the meeting is included in the meeting notice sent by the Secretary (noon, on Tuesday, March 17).
Only confirmed candidates are authorized to campaign. To begin your campaign, you must return the completed form, signed by two seconders to us, as soon as possible.

RFIQ provincial committees
- Election : Substitutes
- Union Defence Fund : Substitutes
- Youth : position reserved for delegates age 35 and under; Substitutes
- Occupational Health and Safety: 1 substitute to replace Isabelle Groulx, member of the Negotiating Committee and substitutes
FIQ statutory committee – reserved for FIQ affiliated union members
- Internal Audit Committee : 1 position and substitutes
FIQP statutory committee – reserved for FIQ|Secteur privé (FIQP) affiliated union members
- Internal Audit Committee : 1 position and substitutes
How to submit your candidacy
- Complete the candidacy form.
- You will receive an email. Print the attached PDF form from the email
- Sign the form in the space provided for this purpose (candidate’s signature)
- Have the printed form signed by two people seconding your candidacy (candidacy proposed by)
- Have the president of your union sign the Declaration of a member in good standing section on the form
- Mail the signed form by March 12, 2020 at 5 p.m. to the attention of : President of the Election Committee, 1234, Papineau Ave., Montréal (Québec) H2K 0A4 or email it to comite.election@fiqsante.qc.ca or hand it in person to the president of the Election Committee before the March Provincial Council officially starts. The starts time for the meeting is included on the meeting notice sent by the Secretary.
