As a labour organization representing healthcare professionals, the FIQ has the duty to be involved in the issues related to organization of work and professional practice. By their constant battles and expertise in the matter, they are able to dominate the discussions where unions are generally not involved. They develop the professional practices of their members in such a way that the latter can work to their full potential and occupy all of their scope of practice.
