The FIQ formed a new work committee for the consultation on the group insurance plan
An ad hoc insurance committee composed of 8 union reps from the FIQ and FIQP was recently formed. This committee will work on tasks led by the FIQ concerning a broad member consultation on the group insurance plan to be held in spring 2018.
Committee’s mandate is to:
- Evaluate the current insurance coverage
- Identify aspects that will be addressed at the consultation
The consultation will help to ensure that FIQ healthcare professionals will always have the best group insurance plan. The committee will work in collaboration with the Social Security Sector, Treasurer Roberto Bomba and FIQ Vice-President Linda Lapointe (respiratory therapist).
The insurance committee held their first meeting on January 23, 24 and 25, 2018.
Call for tenders
After the consultation, the FIQ will launch a call for tenders before the renewal on April 1, 2019. The delegation adopted this decision at the last convention.
