It is with conviction that I seek your support as I run for the position of vice-president of the Sociopolitical Sector, Solidarity, and Status of Women Sector. Motivated by challenges, my desire for progress, and my high energy, I firmly believe that together we can change women’s working and living conditions in our society.
I am concerned about the lack of justice and equity that our healthcare professionals experience every day in their workplaces. The disrespect, violence and harassment in the health network must stop. I am fighting for a proactive, inclusive feminism that must be present throughout all FIQ initiatives.
I have 20 years of experience as a nurse, many of which were in the Santa Cabrini emergency department, which means I have a very good understanding of the impacts of the shortage on healthcare professional attraction and retention and MOT. I joined the local Est-de-l’ÎIe-de-Montréal union team when it was created over four years ago. Since then, I participated in the negotiations of our first local collective agreement, did labour relations, and starting two years ago, became the vice-president of communication-mobilization for the FIQ SPS ESTIM.
By trusting in me, you are voting for transparency, engagement, integrity and drive. I hope with all of my heart that you will grant me the opportunity to fight for women’s issues and, more specifically, for healthcare professionals in Quebec. Thank you!
