Mylène Durocher

Comité de négociation

A respiratory therapist since 1991, I have been an activist for a long time even if my official involvement in the union began in 2016.

A department delegate starting in 2014, it was the transfer agreement with the new CHUM which first drew me to the union. I have been involved in mobilization, communication, helping the grievance agent, organizing the grievances and, lastly, as treasurer. Open to change, I like to develop work tools to maximize our efficiency.

At the provincial level, I was elected to the respiratory therapist tactical committee, the Negotiation Council as the respiratory therapist representative, and appointed to the pay equity committee.

I am structured, organized and perseverant. I like teamwork, which is necessary for such a vast project as collective bargaining. A worker, committed, I am full of ideas and energy to share. I am ready to invest myself with the negotiating team to make our project come alive, be concrete and satisfying.

I think it is very important that there is professional, cultural, urban, regional and even generational diversity on the Negotiating Committee. That is what defines us as an organization, and it would be an honour to represent all of you.
