The strike at a glance

December 11, 12, 13 and 14

Third series of strike days to turn up the pressure on the François Legault government, as it continues to make insulting offers to healthcare professionals.

November 23 and 24

A second sequence of strike days for the 80,000 healthcare professionals represented by the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec-FIQ.

November 8 and 9

At midnight, in the night from November 7 to 8, 80,000 nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists held their first strike in nearly 25 years. This strike sequence ended at midnight in the night from November 9 to 10.

October 24 and 25

At the end of a referendum vote, 80,000 nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists voted at 95 % in favour of a strike, ranging from a one-day strike up to an unlimited general strike.

October 10 and 11

At the special federal council, the delegation decided to hold an electronic referendum vote on October 24 and 25.
