Among other things, she is the political officer for the Occupational Health and Safety Sector and the insurance component of the Social Security Sector.<\/p>\n<p>A respiratory therapist since 1992, her many years of activism mean that she has experienced several major battles and changes in the healthcare network. As a first-hand witness to the consequences of healthcare institution mergers, she is well positioned to understand the challenges and needs that such upheavals create for nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists.<\/p>\n<p>She is constantly seeking solutions to improve the quality and safety of care provided to the public, to which she devotes a great deal of energy.
