In the last few hours, the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec–FIQ reached a tentative agreement with the government on sectoral matters. “The agreement will significantly improve working conditions for nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists, and clinical perfusionists in Quebec,” announced Nancy Bédard, FIQ President.
FIQ and FIQ | Secteur privé delegates will meet later today at a virtual special provincial council to learn about the agreement and vote on the sectoral tentative agreement. Out of respect for the democratic process, no further comments will be made at this time.
Please note that this agreement does not cover intersectoral matters, i.e., salary, retirement, parental rights and regional disparities. The APTS-FIQ alliance will continue to negotiate these matters.
