
Roberto Bomba
Roberto Bomba is the treasurer of the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec–FIQ. He is also the political officer for the treasury, Social Security Sector (insurance and retirement component), the Information Technology-Documentation Service and the Union Defence Fund.
An engaged unionist for more than 25 years, driven by the values of transparency and integrity, every day he oversees the Federation’s sound financial management.
Determined to make a difference in the life of the members he represents, he focuses on improving working conditions and defending public services. Over the years, Mr. Bomba has never hesitated to take on important Federation projects, including periods of changing union allegiance in the health network and provincial negotiations to renew the collective agreement. He regularly represents the organization at international events where healthcare professional and health related issues are discussed.
Before he was elected the first time to the FIQ Executive Committee in 2011, Roberto Bomba was the treasurer and vice-president of the union Les Professionnel(le)s en Soins de Santé Unis from 2006 to 2011. A nurse by profession, he has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McGill University.
