Health Minister Gaétan Barrette and President of the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec – FIQ Nancy Bédard announced today the launch of the safe healthcare professional-to-patient ratio pilot projects. Thirteen projects will be implemented between now and the summer, with four other projects slated to begin in fall 2018.
The first project in a medicine unit will be implemented at the Lakeshore General Hospital, of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux de l’Ouest-de-Montréal (CIUSSS), starting in mid-April.
The first project in a surgical unit will be implemented at the CHAUR de Trois-Rivières, of the CIUSSS de la Mauricie-Centre-du-Québec, and will begin late April.
The first project in a CHSLD will be implemented at the CLSC de Bagotville, of the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, and begin in mid-May.
