Murielle Kathia Placide

Anti-Racism Committee

CIUSSS du Nord-de-l'Île-de-Montréal

“Each of us carries a story that deserves to be heard.”

It is in this spirit of listening and respect that I submit my application to continue my involvement in the FIQ SPS NIM’s permanent Anti-Racism Committee.

For several years now, I have been accompanying vulnerable people: women who are victims of violence, people who have particular needs, and more recently, healthcare professionals who are facing difficult situations. These experiences have taught me that behind all silence and unease, there is a voice that simply wants to be recognized and respected.

It is this sensitivity, fuelled by my union engagement, that motivates me today to continue the work already begun on the permanent Anti-Racism Committee.

My goal is for us to advance together toward a workplace that is more humane, inclusive and truly free of discrimination. Because true change is not decreed, it is built relationship by relationship, with listening, respect and collective collaboration.

Thank you for putting your trust in me and allowing me to represent your voice.
