Cindie Soucy
Code of conduct committee at FIQ events
CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent
A nurse and union representative since 2010, I have, over the years, had the opportunity to observe the development of our delegation, its renewal and the new needs that have emerged.
President since 2019, I also was part of the last Negotiating Committee and the discussion group on the strategic plan, which allowed me to develop a good understanding of the issues affecting our union reps and our organization.
I am convinced that a clear, fair and supportive code of conduct, focused on respect for differing views and the quality of discussions, will help prevent things from getting out of hand, encourage participation and enable every union rep to express themselves in a healthy and safe environment.
Discussions can be lively, as we all have different experiences, values and perspectives. However, they must always remain respectful, constructive and characterized by tolerance.
I would like to put my sense of fairness, my thoroughness, my ability to listen and my collaborative skills at the service of the delegation.
The task is a big one, but so is the potential to arrive at a code of conduct that is fair and satisfactory to all.
