Isabelle Lajeunesse

A nurse since 1999 and union representative for more than twenty years, I have held many positions on the union team, including president, vice-president, secretary and grievance agent.

These experiences have helped me develop good knowledge on how a union functions and the work in decision-making bodies.

My involvement has also led me to take part in major files, including the 2021 Negotiation Council and the work relating to Bill 15 (Constitution and Bylaws). These roles have strengthened my analytical skills, my judgement and my strategic thinking.

I am known for my thoroughness, discretion and sense of responsibility. I wish to put this experience at the service of the committee in order to help develop a clear, consistent and inspiring code of conduct that fosters a healthy and respectful atmosphere during FIQ activities.
