Estates General on Unionism
The Quebec labour movement is at a decisive turning point. The nine main labour organizations in Quebec are joining forces to begin a collective reflection as part of the Estates General on Unionism, a first in Quebec.
At the heart of this approach: a deep and honest conversation about our collective future, discussions about the modernization of union approaches to better respond to workers’ expectations, and to strengthen their power to act faced with the new realities in the labour market.
Unionism is made up of faces, voices, and realities that deserve to be heard. This proactive approach seeks to revitalize the labour movement, to ensure greater social justice, and to build a future in which workers can collectively claim their place.
