Isabelle Lajeunesse
Education-Animation Committee
CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale
I have been a nurse since 1999 and a union rep since 2001. I have had the privilege of occupying several roles (grievance agent, secretary and RLT vice-president) at the CIUSSS de la Capitale-National. Since I was 24, I have been firmly invested in defending our rights, convinced that it is essential that we get actively involved to make change happen within our organization.
Conscientious, committed, a good listener and passionate about working together, I’d like to put my experience to good use on the Education-Animation Committee. This committee plays a key role by integrating healthcare professionals’ concerns into the training courses offered.
I believe it is time to review the training offered at the FIQ to better respond to our constantly changing reality and the needs of union reps. We must refocus our efforts on developing the education component and redefine the committee’s mandate to make it a driving force of mobilization and union awareness development.
I thank you for your trust and hope to keep representing you with determination.
