Every shift matters. When conditions in your centre of activities endanger care safety and quality or hinder your practice conditions, it is crucial that you flag it.

With the Safe Staffing Form, you can alert your union team. It’s easy and confidential. The information collected is processed anonymously and may make it possible to take concrete actions to remedy the situation. Your team could also contact you to request additional details.

Examples of dangerous situations to report:

• Impossibly high healthcare professional-to-patient ratios
• Mandatory overtime (MOT) that compromises your health and that of your colleagues
• A lack of staff that leads to delays in care administration
• A lack of or defective essential material
• Frequent interruptions or an overload of administrative tasks that reduces time available for patients
• Rundown facilities
