Hello, dear delegation,

My name is Alexandra Hémond, from the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS. Involved in the union since 2015, I have had the honour of occupying various roles, in particular that of vice-president licensed practical nurse, local representative and grievance agent. Since 2022, I have acted as vice-president of social security at the SPSCE.

I am running for the Education-Animation Committee because I want to restore it to what it was before the pandemic. Union education and training courses are essential to supporting our union reps. I would like to put my rigour, commitment and team spirit to work to actively contribute to this mission.

As for leading activities, while I am more reserved in front of a microphone, I am always keen to mobilize, energize and bring people together in activities. To me, this committee represents a good opportunity for people to get to know me better and to get involved at another level in the organization.

On my local team, I am involved in mobilization, training new union reps, and communicating information to my members.
