Célina Caron

Hello,

My name is Célina Caron. I have been a nurse clinician at the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent since 2018. Since I started in the health network, I have been actively involved on my local union team. I started as a local union representative and then went on to be a grievance agent. I also had the opportunity to have an interim position as labour relations vice-president.

As a young, committed union rep, I would like to join the FIQ’s Youth Committee to help strengthen the mobilization and involvement of young healthcare professionals. I am convinced that young people play a vital role in defending our working conditions, social justice and the longevity of the union movement.

Encouraging union engagement among young people ensures a strong, informed and determined future cohort. It also means giving a voice to new generations who have innovative ideas, energy, and a desire for change. I want to help create an inclusive and energized space where young professionals can express their views and become agents of change.
