Denis Grondin – Elected

Dear union representatives,

I have been a licensed practical nurse since 2007 and have been actively involved in the union for more than ten years.

I was a grievance agent from 2014 to 2017, then an interim treasurer during the CISSS mergers, before becoming president of the Syndicat des professionnelles en soins de la Montérégie‑Centre (SPSMC) in 2018, a position I still hold.

I also took part in the work of the ad hoc committee on the expense reimbursement policy, strengthening my understanding of management and equity issues.

I am known for my rigour, my integrity and my commitment to transparency. I am genuinely interested in finances and like to work with numbers.

My term as president will end in 2026. I will not seek to renew it so that I can spend more time with my family. However, I would like to continue to be involved in a less demanding role at the FIQ.

That is why I am running for the FIQ provincial Internal Audit Committee. Thank you for putting your trust in me.
