Isabelle Roy
Status of Women Committee
CHSLD Age3 Inc.
I have been a licensed practical nurse at CHSLD Âge3 for 20 years and president of the SRPSQ since 2018. September 24, 2014, was the day I decided to speak out and take back control of my life.
Since then, I have joined my voice to all those who are not afraid to speak out loudly against the injustices they suffer, but also to be the voice of those who, like me in the past, are too afraid to speak out.
The status of women remains an issue in 2025. To this day, women’s rights are being violated, and the fight remains crucial. Between the right to abortion, which is constantly under threat, victims of sexual violence who struggle to be heard, and gender inequality, the path for women remains perilous.
As a woman, mother, and union rep, I would like to collaborate more actively to improve the status of women.
I am therefore putting my experience, determination and team spirit to good use and am keen to become a new member of the Status of Women Committee.
