Jean-Sébastien Blais [elected]

Comité Communication

CISSS de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue

Dear union representatives,

My name is Jean-Sébastien Blais. I am an assistant nurse clinician and president of the FIQ-SISSAT.

I think that the foundation for good mobilization comes from direct, transparent communication with members. Where I am from, we use different communication models that work very well and reach all members. The future of communications will rely primarily on the healthy use of social media networks. We must review our ways of doing things and connect more with our foundation. The members are the ones who can tell us what the reality in the field is.

This last year was difficult, even in communications when, at times, we even prevented members from expressing themselves on the FIQ-Santé page. We must find a way to allow everyone to express themselves, as long as it is done respectfully. By changing our ways of doing things and drawing inspiration from affiliated unions’ good moves, we will achieve better results.

I hope I have your support in the next elections!
