Mélanie Arseneault
Status of Women Committee
CISSS de la Montérégie-Est
Dear union representatives,
My name is Mélanie. I am a nurse clinician, and I have been a committed union rep for more than five years on the Status of Women Committee and Internal Audit Committee for the FIQ – SPS de Montérégie-Est. These experiences have helped me to develop a deeper understanding of the issues that women face in our health network, both professionally and personally.
My commitment is based on a deep conviction: it is essential to actively defend our rights, to fight against systemic inequalities and to promote a fair, safe and inclusive workplace.
At the provincial level, I would like to promote the intersectional feminist approach in all sectors, support and represent union reps in the face of challenges such as work-family balance, job insecurity, violence and burnout, and take concrete action to address the realities experienced by women in all their diversity.
Guided by the values of solidarity, respect, transparency, commitment and integrity, I believe that dialogue, education, mobilization and active listening are keys to advancing equality and building a fairer future.
I sincerely thank you for your consideration.
