Nathalie Levesque
Since December 2017, Nathalie Levesque has been the vice-president licensed practical nurse on the Executive Committee of the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec–FIQ. She is joint political officer for the Labour Relations Sector and the organization’s Research and Legal teams.
The Dubé reform, the arrival of Santé Québec and the creation of a single employer, as well as budget cuts in the healthcare network, are at the heart of her concerns and motivate her union involvement. Every day she strives to improve working conditions and ensure that the expertise of the nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists she represents is truly recognized. She was also joint political officer for the last negotiations with the Quebec government to renew the collective agreement.
A licensed practical nurse since 2004, she first practised in the Quebec City area and then in the Montérégie region. Before becoming vice-president at the FIQ, she was vice-president at the Syndicat des professionnelles en soins de Montérégie-Est.
