End of the consultation on the employer offers: Members are united, determined and mobilized to defend their rights!
The consultation on the employer offers wrapped up on May 28 and we would like to extend our deep thanks to the 37,294 healthcare professionals who participated. While some might think this participation rate is insufficient, the Negotiating Committee sees it altogether differently. An over 46% sample is more than representative. It shows healthcare professionals’ mobilization and solidarity. It once again demonstrates that the FIQ is truly speaking on behalf of its members, and the results of the consultation will serve as powerful leverage to defend your rights.
Your Negotiating Committee is currently analyzing the results. The analysis outcome will be presented to the union representatives at a meeting on June 13 and 14. However, an initial evaluation confirms what we suspected about healthcare professionals’ opinions on these offers: insufficient, even insulting. Please note that the Committee has chosen to keep the results confidential for now to protect its strategy effectiveness at the bargaining table.
Remember that the FIQ and its Negotiating Committee proudly represent all healthcare professionals: nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists.
Talk to your local team to stay informed and mobilized in light of upcoming actions.
Together, we will continue to fight for fair, equitable working conditions for all healthcare professionals
