We are going on strike!

We are going on strike!

During the referendum vote on October 24 and 25, the vast majority of you voted in favour of a strike (95%.). We would like to thank all of the members who participated in this democratic exercise. This result gives your Negotiating Committee a strong mandate to tell the government that its proposals at the bargaining table are unacceptable. It wants to treat healthcare professionals like interchangeable pawns and has no respect for their professional judgement or personal lives.

Given the current state of negotiations, and in light of the result, your Negotiating Committee believes that the best moment to start the strike is now. That’s why we are announcing a first 48 hours of striking on November 8 and 9, 2023. Feel free to contact your local team to find out more on how to participate in your institution’s strike movement in support of your Negotiating Committee.

Join the Walk of Horror

It’s not normal that Christian Dubé, who is the main person responsible for care quality in Quebec, is completely absent in these negotiations. That’s why you are called to make your voice heard outside of the minister’s office in La Prairie on October 30th. For more information, visit the Facebook event on our Facebook page or contact your local team. There will be chartered buses for the event.
